What the trial gives you
Microsoft Fabric is Microsoft's cloud data platform: lakehouses, pipelines, notebooks and Power BI in one place. The kit only needs it for one series, the move from Excel and Power Query to a lakehouse.
The Fabric trial is free for 60 days. It gives you a trial capacity, the compute that Fabric items run on, plus storage in OneLake. When it ends, items on that capacity stop working unless they're moved to a paid one.

No work account? Microsoft documents routes that create one, such as a Microsoft 365 trial. They take longer, and brand-new tenants aren't always allowed a Fabric trial straight away. Read the series first and try Fabric when you have an account.
